Blue Screen error Page_Fault_In_nonpaged_Area

What??!

I am on a dell 8400 media center pc with windows xp build 2006 xpsp_sp3

I an not techie. I am in the safe mode because everytime I boot I get a blue screen with following error

*** stop: 0x00000050 (0xE5E78410, 0x00000000, 0x8054BBAD, 0x00000001)

saying to disable bios shadowing and caching. I uses windows xp home addition. it think computer must have gone through some sort of automatic update over night because yesterday it was fine. I went to microsoft site and could not find this exact error. Could only find "*** stop: 0x00000050" and the indication was the error was related to symantec GoBack but that is intentionally NOT installed on my computer. I do have Norton 360.

Can't see how to get to Bios Settings, or anywhere to disable the caching and shadowing. Clicked F2 on boot up but it only shows system info and no way to access Bios menu or settings

Did you recently update or add any new drivers? If not, and then it might have been an update from microsoft that caused it (like you said). If you have system restore activated, then you can try to boot in safe mode and restore your system back to a later date.
If you don't know how to restart in safe mode, then here are the steps.
1. Turn computer off
2. Turn it on and immediately begin tapping the "F8" button repeatedly until you get an options screen.
3. Scroll up and select safe mode.
4. After it boots, click on administrator and load
5. Now if you made it this far then click on Start-->Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools-->System Restore
6. Now choose a date back when your computer actually worked, and run the wizard
7. Once the wizard has been completed then it should reboot itself and hopefully that will fix the problem. Let me know if this helps.
