...and you have a DVD player on the computer, then the monitor acts much like television screen.. You'll need those 3D glasses.

On the other hand, there are 3D games and animated movies which have the ability to be 3D using the computer's graphics card abilities.. If that is the case, then you won't need any special glasses at all. Just a good graphics card.

What kind of garphics card do you already have?

What kind of 3D? Is this being displayed from a DVD? If so, then even the basic integrated cards will display a DVD fine.

On the other hand, if you're intending to do a 3D game, then we'll need to know the brand name and model number, the operating system, processor speed, motherboard types, and everything else about the computer.. And still, even basic graphics cards have the ability to show 3D..

Have you tried checking the ability of your DirectX Utility? Click on Start-Run, type "dxdiag", (without the quotes), then click on OK.. When the DirectX Diagnostic tool loads, click on the "Display" tab, then run the "test buttons" shown there.. It should show 3D abilities.

..., that is assuming you have a DVD player on your computer....but you will need 3D glasses. DVD movies are transmitted differently than your 3D games. It sounds like you're set..
