Why cant I view the download?

I have Windows XP..and Media player. I have downloaded a Prison Break Countdown clip from the C/net site, but I cannot get it to play. Download was completed OK, and media player states item is being played, however, nothing is on screen except the following messages...

`File has extension(.widget)not recognised by Windows Media Player...`I then click go ahead anyway option and get `WM PLayer cannot support file/codec..` I then go to web help option, but find it too complicated.

Can anyone help sort this out for me? What do I do?

Can you give the exact download information ...

so detailed that somebody else can download it following your instructions and have a look at the file?

The other thing I found here at CNET was to download the Widget.

Yahoo Wiget

Small program referred to as a "widget" that is run by the Yahoo! Widget Engine; formerly run within Konfabulator, which is now part of Yahoo!

Check with Yahoo Widget Engine?
