Computer newbies forum: problem with IE history

thank you for your reply I really meant everything was there but they were greyed out (sometimes)

I thought the 32000 was 32 MB, I will now change it back. I only use cc cleaner and ad-aware

It's tough to provide suggestions when you haven't given us ANY information about your computer.. Operating system? Which Internet Explorer version? Is this a home or work computer? Are you the administrator? Is it the "History" "Delete" button that's greyed out? (Give us EXACTLY what you're referring to.) The more information your give us, then better informed our answer will be.

...then it's possible that you recently cleared the History.. If there is no "History" in the "History" folder, then button will be greyed out.. Such a situation can be caused when the "Autocomplete" options are all UNCHECKED and when you haven't visited any websites.

It could be a toolbar problem, or IE add-on.. Try uninstalling or disabling them all..

Or...If "Clear History" button is the item greyed out of the General tab of IE 6, then it's possible there is a Group Policy which has been created by your work place.. Once again, you still haven't told us whether you are the admin of your computer.. If that's the case, then you may need to remove the items from the "History" folder manually, IF you have been given access to that particular folder.
