picture software

I want to keep a collection of pictures (and videos, if possible in one program)that I take with my digital camera on my computer and have it organized with a program that will allow me to burn the years collection to a DVD in a slideshow format with music and all. Is there a program that can organize and burn? I don't really need it to edit, if it does, just very basic editing. Can someone advise me on a good one?

Sounds Like A PowerPoint Project

Microsoft Powerpoint will set up a slide show project and include the music.

Adobe Photoshop Album

I have found that the only way to know if a product suits my needs is to download and install a trial version.

I know Adobe Photoshop Album (Starter Edition 2) allows you to add music as well as text, and it is easy to use. I don't think it handles video.

If you are a paying MSN subscriber, there is Microsoft Picture It! Express 9. I'm sorry that I don't have more information on this product. I didn't use it while I had it and now I have it no longer!
