Windows 8: Do you have this problem?

I have a computer with Windows 8 and I am experiencing a very frustrating problem that I just can't figure out!!!!!

The problem is that I have a folder in the My Music directory that WILL NOT LET ME DELETE IT!!!

I get an error message telling me it can't find the folder, BUT IT IS STILL THERE!!!! I can even open the folder, BUT IT WON'T LET ME DELETE IT!!!

The Error Message Is As Follows:

Could Not Find This Item.

This is no linger located in C:\users\MyName\My Music\Folder Y\Folder Z

The Folder I Am Trying To Delete
The Date and Time that it was created

I have never experienced anything like this on Windows 8 before.

Any ideas why this is happening?

It won't even let me do ANYTHING with it except open it.

I've seen this in prior Windows.

We boot up Linux or some other Live CD (no install) and then find the folder or file in question and delete it there.

I will not discuss MSFT's reasons for this.

(NT) drag it onto the desktop, restart and right click to delete.

I had music I downloaded from my Amazon Cloud drive. When I tried to copy the files to a SD card to put on another PC, some of the files would not copy with an error that they didn't exist. Yet I was able to play the non-existent files on my PC.

Since Amazon separates everything by folders according to artist/album info, I tried to delete the folders so I could re-download the music, but certain folders could bot be deleted with the same error that they didn't exist. I could delete the individual music files, and even sub-folders, but not the folder which was tagged with the album name, or any folder above it.

In order to delete those folders, I had to resort to the command prompt in admin mode, and good old-fashioned DOS commands.

As it turned out, this was being caused by the naming of the album folders by Amazon, as it happened on the same items every time I tried to download them. I discovered that renaming the album title on my Amazon cloud drive, when these items were downloaded, they were no longer a problem.
