How do I create a Windows 8 "Recovery" disc / discs?

This is for a Samsung NP550P5C... having typed it into Google, the options appear a little confusing with the best option being how to make recovery discs for an HP laptop (presumably using HP's built in wizard), requiring 4 DVD's. Other suggestions seem to tell you how to make a "Repair" disc for Windows 8 with one readers comments of..... " Windows 8 recovery Disk is used to reset your PC - it is supposed to reload the operating system and restore factory default settings.
You need a USB flash drive 16GB or larger.
I haven't found yet a way to create Windows 8 recovery
CD/DVD, which can be used to reinstall the operating system."
It's not even clear how to do it on a Flash Drive though I would prefer using discs... can anyone help ?

My dad picked up a Samsung rv515 and we were happy to see the recovery DVDs in the box. I didn't go looking how to create them so I think a call is next.

With my Toshiba, HP, and Dell computers...

... the procedure is documented in the user guide which is on the hard drive. In all 3 of mine you click Start -> Company -> ... and it's under that. If yours isn't, you should be able to go to the Samsung web site and download it. It usually takes 3 or 4 DVDs that you have to burn.

Go to http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/NP550P5C-A01UB and download your user guide if you can't find it on your laptop. That's the place to look for how to burn your restore discs.

Many thanks for taking the trouble to try and help. On this Samsung the operation does not appear to be so straightforward, but I think a solution is in sight. I will post my results when I've managed to achieve it.

Thanks for your suggestions and posting the Samsung link. For me this operation is made slightly more difficult as I'm not yet familiar with Windows 8, but by hitting F4 on startup, the "Recovery Section" opens. As yet it does not look like there is an option to back up the operating system to discs. It would appear that a "recovery" can be made and saved on a memory stick. If or when I find a solution I will post it..... once again many thanks.

There is NO OPTION to make "operating system" DISCS. This feature is not in today's Windows machines.

The only way to get OPERATING SYSTEM discs is to buy them. You pay for the full version of the OS and you get OS discs. In the case of ready to use PCs, that's a special deal and you only can have recovery media.

Now I see your question and now my answer changes.
