How to disable lock screen

I am unable to run "gpedit.msc", it gives me the message that windows cannot find gpedit.msc...what can I do to get rid of this annoyance?

It seems that Group Policy is only supported in Windows 8 Pro and Ultimate, not in Home. So to get rid of this annoyance, you buy the Pro pack. That can be done online. For a limited time it's $69.99 at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/feature-packs

In Windows 7 it can be done via Control Panel>Energy settings. You can define there if it goes to the lock screen or back to where it came from when returning from standby mode. I didn't check if it's the same in Windows 8.

Local Group Policy Editor is only available in Windows 8 Pro.So Upgrade Your Windows 8 to Ultimate or Pro.
