i downloaded the upgrade assistant->selected "keep personal files, settings, and apps"-> it said i was all clear to install so i proceeded.
then it took about 45 minutes to install and everything went smooth. it rebooted and the windows 8 logo came up and stayed for about 10 minutes and then it said
oh no something went wrong while installing windows, we will work on it for you. then it started loading a percentage indicating maybe it was fixing the problem. then it got to 100% and stayed there for 3 hours before i figured it was bunk.
i couldnt do anything besides hard shut down. then when i turned it back on, windows 8 loaded again and halfway thru booting it said we will restore your previous version of windows.
i read some things of people having similar, but not the same, problems. the only thing i have seen is to removed my bluetooth usb receiver. i dont wanna go thru 4 hours of nonsense again tho if that isnt a solution to my problem. can someone tell me if that seems like a reasonable solution or if theres a bigger problem?
thanks so much
