XP Mode

I have a new machine with Windows 7 Ultimate with XP Mode downloaded and I want to know if Windows 8 has the same feature or will accept the XP Mode download if I upgrade.

Also, how similar is Windows 8 to W7 Ultimate?

a product called Virtual Toolbox that runs as a virtual machine. You can create a XP virtual inside. I used it in Windows 7 to run Windows 8 until I got a Windows 8 machine.

Windows 8 requires a specific version to be able to use the MS virtual machine. Windows 7 required Pro or higher to install XP mode. The version that came on most computers from the factory was home premium and that wouldn't run XP mode.In Windows 8 you have to have Windows 8 Pro or Enterprise. If you have that you can enable Hyper-V. I don't think XP comes with Hyper-V so it may require you have a XP license whereas Windows 7 didn't require a separate license.

I have Quicken 2001 after reading up on it I just went to program files in win8 made new folder with a name for quicken I just called it QW the install my old software to that folder. Works fine.
