Hello,
I have installed the Win 8 Consumer Preview (64-bit) on my Acer Extensa 5420. It is a bit of an older laptop, but I have been able to get drivers to work for it with the exception of a display driver. It has Radeon XPress 1250 integrated graphics. I went to ATI's site and downloaded the 10.2 legacy driver that was on their site. When I tried to install it, nothing would really happen after the files were extracted and choosing the "Express" installation option. Is it possible that I need a specific version of the Visual Studio C++ redistributable in order for it to work? Also, downloading the driver from Acer's lead to a black screen of death in case anyone is wondering.
