Aspire 5750 only SATA II speed; any way to make it III ?

i was disappointed that this laptop, even with the i7 processor, only has SATA 2 speed.

i have a new SSD for it that uses SATA 3.

any way to change the laptop to SATA 3? i saw it done for old lenovo thinkpads!

That is determined by the chipset.

And if you read reviews it's rarely a big speed boost. Until you tell me which sata controller is in the design, I'm going with no.

i don't know much about these things like chipset and motherboard?

the model is 5750-9292

The motherboard where all the "smarts" are

The motherboard is the heart of your computer with all the memory, the processor, and the vast majority of the circuits and controls. Without the equivalent of a heart and brain transplant you can't SATA III.
