aspire one screen ruined

hi,
my laptop fell and the screen got completely messed up. even though the pc turns on as usual i can't see a thing. (such a waste!!)

can anyone advise me on what i should do? i mean, is it cheaper to get it fixed or spend out again on a new one. im in nyc. is it best to buy online or from somewhere like a reputable store?

i really can't afford to buy a new one but if im advised to, should i consider tablets? i don't know much on this stuff so any help is appreciated.

Is this a netbook?

I see netbooks in the mid 200 range at geeks.com a lot so with repairs running 120+ just for labor and no parts you are looking at a new netbook if that's what you want to replace it with.

Common online stores are newegg.com amazon.com geeks.com and many others.

About tablets. Do they run what you need? Would you be upset if less web sites work than your average Windows netbook/laptop?
