Broadcom Driver help, PLEASE?

Acer Aspire 5517, CPU upgrade to Turion 64 x 2
Win 7 Home Prem. 64 bit

Broadcom BCM 943224 HMS Mini PCI-e Wifi Adapter...Can't find a Driver to make it work.

Windows said it is working properly and that the Driver is working properly. However, it's not working properly in that I can't get internet!

The helper app turns on the wifi. I can't guess if you are not using the supplied OS or forgot those helper apps.

The laptop came with Win 7 Home prem.

It is actually my brothers computer, he's in CA, that I don't have in my hands, I'm in MN, so if you could be a little more colloquial. We talk via phone and I try to walk him through things and we've used Remote Access but, without a wired connection, and the Wifi not working with the new adapter, I'm kinda at a loss.

For example Acer has that eRecovery app. They also have some apps to manage wifi on/off but you have to install these to turn on the wifi.

Since you don't reveal much about the OS and why we are not using the restore media which would have installed these helper apps and drivers I can only GUESS you installed some other OS and now are learning the hard way about drivers and apps.
