stuck installing office 2010-reinstalled win7 from partition

i have used the acer e recovery management to recover windows from the partition. all seemed well. the computer seemed to restart windows and it said it was setting up the computer for first time use. so then it goes to install office 2010 and its stuck - i thought it was just slow but its been stuck at 17/22 for about 20 hours. how do i start this process over again.

i don't have the recovery disk. =(

Was this version of Office 2010 included on the original install?
Was it a trial version (valid for 60 days or so) or is it the final version you still used before starting the recovery?

If it was on the original install and it's the final version, it SHOULD work. All you can do:
1. Try again from the start
2. Call Acer customer service, complain and have them sent the recovery disk(s) for free, because obviously something is wrong with the version on the recovery partition.
If those disks fail also, it most likely is a hardware issue. Then ask for a (free for you) separate copy of Office 2010.
