I am very disappointed in the quality of Acer products. I purchased an Aspire 5750 last October. The product appeared solid and the price very tempting. Unfortunately, the hard drive has crashed five times since purchase. Of course OfficeMax, will have nothing to do with the issue. OfficeMax has a 14 day return policy. I was clearly over the 14 days when I contacted the store with my problem. I did not request a refund or exchange, I simply asked the Store Manager if he was aware of any documented problems with my model, and if so, can he recommend a solution. I was not able to get all of my words out before he provided the ignorant canner response of "it's not our problem" (and I quote!!!).
Folks, avoid Acer products. They are inexpensive for a reason. Oh, avoid OfficeMax as well. The stores are staffed by a motley crue of disrespectful individuals who have not clue about the products they are selliing.
I want to stress that I'm not trying to bad mouth these two businesses for petty reasons. I am truely shocked and saddened at the terrible quality of my Acer product, and offended by the way I was treated at OfficeMax.
