Acer Revo RL100

Hi,

Hope someone can help with a issue I have.

Basically I have a Acer Revo Rl100. I connected the system using a HDMI cable to a PC Monitor using a HDMI to DVI connector. However I wish to use the Revo with my TV using HDMI to HDMI. But, this does not work as the REVO is only displaying a output of 1280 x 720p and I cannot get 1920 x 1080p. I have factory rest the system, installed all the latest drivers etc, but no success.

Does anyone know how I reset the video output settings on the REVO.

Finally they showed me what they were trying and it was clear in seconds what the issue was. They were MIRRORING the laptop display and in that mode it was limited at the screen size of the laptop LCD.

We "extended the Windows Desktop" to 2 screens (widely documented on the web) and once we did that it worked fine.

Hi,

I will be using the Revo with my 1080p TV. So I need to use two screens to fix this problem? Also, the Nivida control panel shows mu HDMI connection as DVI??

But when we mirror the laptop screen, I have no solution for you.

When I extended the Windows desktop, I can solve this. I can even have the external as the primary screen.

Just like my friend, it may take awhile for why this is, to sink in.
