I have a Acer Aspire as3810tz-4800 running Windows 7. My machine runs fine with the power plugged in but when it's removed it will not run on the battery alone. This just developed after I removed some unwanted programs, mostly games, but one was something called trusteer rapport. Any advice?

I don't think it's software. If you think it is, try a system restore back to when before you did all that uninstalls.

I think you need a new battery.

I did the system restore, it didn't change the issue. I guess it could be the battery needs replacing. It just had no warning the battery needed replacing. like it wouldn't hold a charge, or it had no or little life when it was off ac power.

it certainly wont have anything to do with trusteer rapport as that is something that (I atleast got from) Santander ebanking supply to make sure other sites aren't stealing your banking details.
