usb trouble

Acer laptop 9300 series model ms2195 winxp pro.Tried vista and win 7 same results
When I try a microsoft wireless mouse or microsoft webcam I get usb device not recognied,
Usb flash drives give the same message but
just for a second then go to (this usb device can
perform faster if you connect to hi-speed
usb 2.0 port but work ok

Think it could be motherboard or usb driver

but been googleing for last 2 wks and cant

find the answer.Paid for a couple of device

driver programs did'nt help.

Please help.

Did you try the factory installed OS? I find that folk today would be stressed to install Windows from any retail/OEM CD.
