Acer forum: Acer Extensa 5235 Internal Power Prob :)

I have the Acer Aspire One D250, running windows 7 starter, Node32, AVG Iobits, and many other programs have not found the malware that started the day this error started.......

The exact error is Internal_Power _error 0x000000a0 (0x00000001,0x00000006, 0x850FE020, 0x000000000)

I started getting this error about the time the other person posted the link above. It happened after downloading an update with a java icon from www.focade.com, which I had previously declined 3 times and was fed up with declining... I got a case of the F**k it's to which my laptop is now F**ked, "figures". I have spent hours with IT friends trying to remove the problem. Which happens on any shut down or reboot.... The hibernation issue was tried along with the BIOS update, Disk errors, ... The only suggestion I have left is to reformat my mini. However since I require a restart to reformat this can not be done via the online reformation tools provided by Acer. I'll have to purchase an external USB Hard drive along with the windows 7 disks from the company..

But why not uninstall JAVA as a test?

And since you have disk errors, all bets are off about this machine working well. Why not try a new HDD?

As to your comments about windows 7 disks, I made them on my Acer One using the supplied restore DVD Creator. And no I can't share a copy. Your story sounds like you opted for no DVDRW drive and didn't make the restore DVDs.

Maybe it's time to seek a repair counter?

I did uninstall java... Nothing helped it until tonight I gave AVG another shot giving them time to update the database. I MBR rootkit was found hidden in my system once removed the blue screen of death has stopped. I also fixed reg errors and everything is fine.... Loves ya AVG!!!

Yes the Aser Aspire Netbook has no DVDdrive. Since I have no cdrom drive burner or other I can not make cd's . Moreover, I got my computer second hand....

That does not mean it's something you can live without. How else can you reinstall the OS?
