I m basic user of laptop some internet surfing carrying some adobe softwares not much gamer though so can you guys suggest me acer aspire 5742 ??

It's ranked #9 in its category and reviews are kind. I would not hope for today's games to do much other than what the usual Intel HM55 Express video can do.

Nice to get HDMI and about 4 hours on battery.

ACER ASPIRE 5742 IS A GREAT LAPTOP

I have the Aspire 5742-7120 with the Intel Core I3-370, 4GB of ram, etc., etc.... It is a great laptop. It is very fast and does all that I ask of it (large spreadsheets, internet, uploading, downloading, etc.). The only complaint I have is that the webcam does not work properly. Not a big nit as I really have no use for it anyway.
I would recommend an Intel processor, Core I3-370 or above.
Buy it. I hope you enjoy it.

Love my Acer 5742

I bought a new Acedr laptop 5742-6638 from Office Max and love it. I got a great deal on it. It came with an Intel I5-480 processor, 640GB HD,15.6 HD LED LCD,wireless and Bluetooth, an SD slot, HDMI slot, 3 SB slots and Windows 7 Home Premium. I would recommend this to anyone.
