How does google know my wifi password?

I already have a nexus phone and recently bought a nexus 7 tablet from google.

When I start it up for the first time I was at my friend's place and I used his wifi connection. so it could synchronize my calendar & stuff.

When I arrived home, it connected to my wifi automatically, without asking me for its password.

My wifi is encrypted with WPA2, I never told my nexus 7 my wifi password before.

Is it possible that google took that password from my cellphone? Does it mean that google 'has' my wifi password?

I see you synced your "stuff" so in that stuff that information could have been there.

Google "WPA2 CLOUD CRACKER" to learn it's not that secure. I don't want to repeat prior discussions about this but as it stands, it's not that secure.
