Help copying video from Samsng Galaxy s2 to hard drve

One of my cousins brought his phone over and has a video that he wanted to be copied; I downloaded doubleTwist (third party program I was told will work) though it did not recognize the phone was connected despite having the USB tethering enabled..

Once was able to play around with the settings I was able to see all the pictures that were taken on there though NOT the videos..is there something I did wrong? What program is recommended to copy form of data for an Android phone?


As a side note, the pictures must have been on the mini SD card since they showed up once I enabled the USB settings on the phone--the videos must not be downloaded to the card by default.

I look through the folders on the CD card until I find the video. Remember that with Android the apps can be other than stock so I can never tell you what to look for or where to look. I will share that I do use VLC PLAYER to play the videos too often.
