GS3 facebook and contacts

I'm having an issue with my gs3....i have synced all accounts on FB and under Contacts. In my messages/text the pictures for the person I am texting do not update as the contact changes thier picture on FB. How can i correct this??? I have re-synced all accounts many times.

Are you using replacement apps?

Let's say someone wanted the SMS Text Message app to use the FaceBook (FB) information. I'd tell them to check out https://www.facebook.com/mobile/messenger

But if they asked me to have it update the "stock" Contacts app, I might look at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ro.weednet.contactssync&hl=en

Be sure to notice the following "IMPORTANT:
* Facebook does not allow to export phone numbers or emails. Only names, pictures and statuses are synced.
* Facebook users have the option to block one or all apps. If they opt for that, they will be EXCLUDED from your friends list."

A similar issue with Skype was asked by another member where the contact picture does not change right away. It eventually changed but they wanted it to change now and not in a few days.

The FB app and the contacts app are not "integrated" and the versions I see so far do not sync pictures and more.

That's not a bug but a limitation or choice by the author of either or both apps.

I'm finding folk that are thinking these apps should do more than they are programmed to do.
