Android forum: Connecting Android device to interactive board

Given a pc and most android things cost about the same, why not use the usual netbook solutions?

Well the situation here is that I'm programming some educational applications for android, for the students to work on with their tablets (Google nexus 7)
and we want to use these same programs on the interactive boards..
and while i couldn't find an emulator that is 100% compatible and can run all android programs, I had to think of this solution, being able to connect the tablet directly to the interactive board and open the applications via the board.

You would determine what input this board takes and then what output your Android device has and then get a cable if it's just a matter of cables or a convertor box if such is required.

This is not an area of "standards" so unless we get very specific with the boards, you have to think in broad terms. So yes, you've going to have to nail down the make, model of things first.

Concerning the cable, most interactive board use a USB cable,
so concerning the physical connection there is no problem

as for the boards, what you are asking me to tell you (make and model) are the things im looking for
i want to know if there is some brands or some model that are capable of being connected to an Android Tablet (Google Nexus 7 in my case),
And to be more precise, is the matter of being able to support android tablets a matter of OS support, or is it just a matter of hardware connection, coz when i checked the specification of certain boards it is mentioned that they support Windows and Mac, and nothing about android OS or any other OS.
and i haven't yet come across any board that mentioned it supports Android OS.
Is there any interactive board that does support Android tablets or is this technology not yet available???

As you know, any device on USB does not mean it will have all the drivers and more. It's also clear that you think there is some standard for these boards. From what I've seen, no. They come from a few makers that sell "systems" and not open for the folk that want to tinker it seems.

I though you had a specific target model in mind and now I see you don't. At this point it feels as you have begun a journey without a destination.
