Any way to reduce bass distortion in videos recorded (GS2)?

I have a Samsung GS2 Skyrocket, and I notice that when I record video, the bass is very distorted. Is there any way to reduce that distortion through any of the settings on the phone, or a video editing app? If through an app, is there one that people find useful?

Try reducing your distance from the source audio

Also, reducing the volume of the source audio (if possible) would help a little too. YMMV.
