Windows photo Viewer and Android

Has any one had any issues with the ability to view pictures taken from your Android phone on window photo viewer?
I have been able to view these pictures previously but now it I get an error message stating it isn't the correct format (however it's Jpeg) or that photo viewer is not updated. All updates have been performed with no change. I am still unable to view my pics. I have transferred them onto my computer, I have even emailed them to myself. I am not sure whats going on but it now become an aggravation. HELP

HTC EVO 4G
Windows 7 64 bit with all MSFT updates. No extra codecs or such.
