On the Voice Recorder screen, tap .
On the All recording screen, press and hold the voice recording you want to share, and
then tap Share on the options menu.

The only options I have is bluetooth, gmail, mail, and messages and I want to upload a recording to my computer. I have Windows 7, IE9.

So I could use Gmail and mail the recording to me? How do I upload to my computer? When I usually plug the phone in a little window appears giving me a selection of what program to use, all pictures and videos. I can't find my htc manual and not to keen on the pc.

Using email is something I can't cover here. If you can't fetch email on the PC and look/use the attachments I fear I can't help on that.
Just for fun I pulled up my HTC Evo 4G and ran the app Voice Recorder. I recorded and when I pressed the stop button it asked me for a filename. I took the default and it said saving to SD Card. I used the USB Drive feature and looked around the folders to find the file.
There it was in J:\My Documents\My Recordings
The drive letter will differ among machines.
Yes, it's an .AMR file so VLC Player played it fine.

I do know how to use email/attachments and will give it a try.
I believe your Evo is a little different but I'll give it a whirl.
