How to: Add another device to the Market

I registered my phone (Samsung Epic 4G) with the Market. I now have an Android tablet (Coby Kyros 1024), but market will not download any tablet apps because they are not compatible with my phone (don't want them on my phone!!) and it will not let me add the tablet to my registered devices.

The app is Adobe Flash Player. I get the same response trying to download from the Adobe site--it apparently links with Market.

I can download the app to my WIN7 computer, but of course the computer can't use it.

But I fear the answer is you won't be using any APPROVED METHODS. As it is not APPROVED very few will help you since it often involves something called ROOTING and installing another version of Android.

It does void the warranty and you have only yourself for support.

Having written this, I did this to my nook color and it's now working fine. I suggest you decide how far you will go out on the limb.

So--I either root or forever move that tiny card between my big machine and my tablet?? Do you have a link to a tutorial on rooting.

Screwy the marketplace will download to my Win7 computer but not to the tablet.

I did try opening a new account using the tablet--nada.

I see you are getting the idea but how to root a Coby Kyros 1024 is found with searches. Remember this is not support but a discussion. All information is for a member to understand and then locate or search for possible solutions but short of any step by step. Some can't stand that but it's part of the flavor of a discussion forum versus a support forum. It's why I'm able to discuss things and help others find a direction and be more self supportive.

Try Coby Kyros 1024 Android Market on google. Also some apps you can get via the usual .APK files. For example those other places like Aproov.com
