External speaker solution??
I own this HDTV also. TC55LE54. Very nice TV. I thought about this problem too!
You could buy a powered sound bar. (130.00 - 250.00) You could also:
Hook-up via component audio to a small boom box. need aux. input. (cost-effective way)
What I did was purchased the Apple i-TV (1080 ver.) $100.00 You need wi-fi router
I had a apple i-tunes account with alot music on the computer. Cost not a dime, free download, check out cd's at local library. But make a backup.
Hook-up cables, HDMI to tv and power cord and optical cable to a AV reciever I already had.
Put i-tunes in sharing mode on the computer. also I have i-touch 32gb.
Go threw set-up on i-tv. When done you can listen to tv, movies, music via your reciever. go wireless with your
i-touch. This i-TV is not a cost-effective way to get sound out of your TV, but something for you to think about...
jbothemonkey, I climb tree's...
