Panasonic Blu-ray Player DMP-BD605

All of a sudden my Blu-ray player plays the coming attractions but then shuts down before playing the movie. I first thought it might be requiring a firmware update, so I brought it up to the latest and it still shuts off. Am I missing something or should I take it to an expert?

Other titles and don't allow it to connect to the internet.

Thank you. Disconnected from the internet and now everything plays fine. I'll just connect it to get updates and then disconnect again. Thanks so much for the easy fix.

Just a theory.

I've seen that on other players. The chat about it is that the extended features reach out on the internet and wait for this or that indefinitely. In short a bug. It could be many things but by dropping the internet connection the feature checks for the internet, can't find a connection so it doesn't run the app that gets the extended feature that is broke.

Glad it helped and just so you know, this trick has worked on many make players.
