Copying AVCHD back to SD card for camera playback?

G'day,

I have a "AVCHD" folder copied direct from my Panasonic TM900's internal memory sitting on my computer's HDD.

I now want to copy it back to the camera/SDHC card to view on the camera.

I tried copying the folder, into a folder named "PRIVATE" (as per the AVCHD file structure), on an SDHC card, however the camera does not see the files.

What am I doing wrong?

And I see nothing in manuals that suggest this is possible. Yes, a lot of people have tried this and have your question but unless it's documented as a feature with how-to in the manual...

I can only assume that there are some mighty complex file symbiosis going on... as I can't otherwise see how copying a folder and all its contents from one location, then back to the original, can cause the camera to suddenly stop seeing the files...

And as you say - a lot of people are asking how to achieve this function... and a lot of people saw/see it simply as an attempt to maintain secrecy and propriety over the format.

But I hear you. Folk today are so conditioned by using PC and Apple products where we sling files around with almost no trouble. This is not a PC, there is no documented method or feature so we know to move the files to some "player".
