DMR-BWT700EB

For some reason I seem to be unable to record from HDD to BD-R using DR, while recording in HG works fine. I'm using TDK media, 4x, 25gb. Has anyone had a similar experience and come up with a solution? I've just started using this machine and perhaps I'm making a simple mistake in setting up the recording.

Thanks for your reply. I was aware of this restriction, but I've tried to copy a title where this restriction does apply (first copy attempt with this title, so it should have worked?) and one where it doesn't and I get the same result. The machine shows 'copy' on the front screen but the TV screen stays on the guide page. The machine then won't respond to any other commands and the only way to return it to normal operation is to switch it off at the socket and turn back on. BTW, the 'once only' title then copied fine when I set the picture quality to HG.

I seem to have solved the problem. Everything works perfectly using the 'copying list' route, enabling copying in any picture quality, including high speed DR! Thanks again (R Proffitt) for taking the trouble to respond.

I don't have this model but some other DVD HDD recorder thing and didn't find any prior discussions on your model. The only thing that stood out was what I noted.

Glad it wasn't that!
