How do I get 3d settings??

I just bought a 65 inch plasma (tcp65St30)from best buy. It was an open box buy and I thought I was getting a good deal until I looked at current prices! Anyway, on all picture settings, the 3d menu options are greyed out. Why is that? I am also using AT&T uverse with a wireless router and cannot connect to Internet. The tv locates my wireless name but when I enter my password, it won't connect.
