What should a new plasma tv owner be cautious of?

I just bought a Panasonic p50GT30 and it's the first plasma tv I've ever had. I've heard a few things about how plasmas can easily be messed up with Burn in, and I've also heard some negative things about the specific model of tv I just bought.

I want to know how to properly handle and take care of a plasma tv. How long should I make the break-in period for this tv? And what exactly does the break-in period consist of?

Let's skip writing about break in since it's widely discussed.

After break-in you can still burn in patterns and bars by watching non-HD/full screen content or the usual game where the display has no moving content.

The maker must provide the answers to you about the time period or my thoughts are you should not buy their models.
