Manage updates with the Download App
I've recently purchased the above HD camcorder - so far very pleased with it apart from one thing. I edit my videos with Pinnacle Ultimate v 11 but it won't recognise my camcorder when I connect it to a usb port on my computer, it says I must connect to a firewire connection. I can download it to the computer through usb then try to upload to Pinnacle but once again, it won't recognise the files. I've used Pinnacle successfully for a number of years without any problem. I've tried all my local computer/camera shops to see if a mini usb to firewire cable is available but no one has one. Does anyone know if such a creature exists??

Then again you see folk continue to think there are. Let's not waste time on that.
Since you did download the file, go get MEDIA INFO and share with the forum what type of file this is.

Thanks Bob for the information re a mini usb>firewire cable. The file is an MTS one.
MTS is not enough.

I was hoping for MEDIA INFO's report.
Without that I can only nod to titles like SDCOPY and HANDBRAKE to convert this. But without that detail you may be working hard to figure it out. I tried and failed.

Installed Media Info, managed to pull up the file and show all the info but couldn't find how to save it! Wrote the info down as follows.

Hope this is what you wanted and it means something to you Bob as it's a foreign language to me!
I'd try to HANDBRAKE that to something your app can use.

Yes, that's an AVC HiDef video file. All it means is your app may not support it.
HANDBRAKE might convert it to something your video editor can use and VLC PLAYER should play it too.
