HOW TO UNINSTALL ALOT.COM TOOLBAR FROM MACBOOK PRO?

I was trying to get local radio station on mac and d/l alot.com toolbar. Wasn't able to get radio station on their radio player and the toolbar prevented Firefox's login feature from working properly. Help! Thank you in advance.

Toolbar and Firefox,

Launch Firefox and go to Tools > Add Ons.
Select the alot.com tool bar and then select Uninstall.
Quit Firefox and then launch it again.

Toolbar should be gone

Thanks for your reply to my question. I tried your suggestion but the alot toolbar was not there to select in the add-ons. And the toolbar is still there staring at me. Any ideas now?

How did you get it to work?

The developer site states that it is for Windows only. If you are running Windows on your MBP, go to add/remove programs and remove it there. Looks like this is an application. All this info is on the developer's site.

Alot Tool bar removal.

I was not satisfied with my Alot tool bar radio capabilities either, so I went to tools>addons>extensions. There is was with the disable or uninstall buttons. Hope this helps. I am on an iMac 10.6.2

I too had this problem and it was solved with the recommended procedure
stated in these posts. I got rid of it, but went back later after I
had the time to learn how it worked. So far so good.

Thanks guys I had the same problem with a few toolbars that I no longer wanted and this got rid of them.

Trying to Remove Aggressive Alot toolbar and other Alot prog

I was trying to download what I read to be a Yahoo toolbar, but what turned out to be an Alot toolbar. This program was so aggressive that it took over as my home page. When I could not get Firefox back as my home page, i tried to
uninstall the program from Control Panel and from the start menu but could not find it. i am also finding it very hard to post this reply.
