CNET MacFixit Daily Bulletins - New!
by MacIvor - 10/5/09 11:04 AM
I'm a little puzzled. Under the 'previous regime' the MacFixit Daily Trouble shooting items were always fresh each day... I can't say I ever remember the same item being used on two successive days. But today I received a bulletin that contained FOUR items that were in the previous day's bulletin. I had already noticed that one or two items kept being reproduced from day to day. But 4 out of 5!? Are you really that short of new information, that this degree of repetition is acceptable?
Again, under the previous regime there were lots of items that clearly arose from Macophiles' individual queries... but most of the items now seem to consist of "news" and dubious prognostications about the future of Macdom. I much preferred the notion of flagging up a lot of possible problem solutions... practical MacHelp. Is it really that difficult to find a decent number of problem items that could be useful for lots of people, and that meant that I wasn't getting repetitions in my mail box every day? And solutions noted seem to be the work of one guy in particular...
It can't even be pleaded that a person might have missed an item on the previous day, as the nature of email means that everyone on the mail list has received these items as I did! Do we really all want an increase of duplicated emails... I get enough duplicates of Viagra and ***** enlargement adverts already!!
