8GB RAM vs 16GB RAM

Is there any point in taking 16GB RAM for a gaming laptop? I heard that even the most recent games do not need(for now) more than 8GB to run properly.

Would u agree? If not, why not?

When it comes to gamers, they tend to pay for any edge. So yes, it's worth it to some.

from 8 GB to 12 GB and it was a noticeable speed increase (I'm not gamer so it wasn't in gaming). I then went from 12 gb to 16 gb and that upgrade wasn't noticeable. Gaming relies more on the graphic performance then processor.

8GB to 12GB and it was noticeable. I then went from 12GB to 16GB and it wasn't noticeable.
