Using HDMI input to play Xbox 360

I've got an Alienware m17x and it has a HDMI input and output and I was wondering how I could use my laptop display to play it? I've tried using a HDMI, but I only get visuals with no sound. Any ideas?

Sounds like a bug.

I won't discuss XBox settings here but if other HDMI things work such as a BD Player, call Dell now to arrange for updates or repairs.
