Parasite sound on My computer Speakers

Hello,

I have an HP DV 6449 US and I use Windows Vista
I have parasite sounds mix of static / buzzing /whistling , that starts and stays constant when playing Videos, DVD's or even with windows sound
I have this parasite sound only when using the computer speakers
However, when using headset the sound is good
Can somebody help me please.

1. Reload the OS and see if it goes away. If not it's hardware and you replace the mainboard when the sound chips are. Or ...

2. Get some USB sound card for under 2 dollars like http://www.amazon.com/Virtual-5-1-surround-External-Sound-Card/dp/B000N35A0Y/
I carry one like this (the one at http://www.amazon.com/External-Adapter-Desktop-Notebook-Laptop/dp/B0019SVUQK/ but some folk feel that more than 2 dollars is too much.

With the external card it saves the laptop from the junk pile.
