What are safe running temperatures for laptops?

I've noticed that the bottom of my laptop (Samsung NP700Z5A-S04US 15.6-Inch) would get hot while gaming. I didn't think much of it until I downloaded a temperature monitoring utility (HWMonitor). It showed that my CPU would get 80+ degrees Celsius while gaming (such as Tribes Ascend or Diablo 3). I'm just wondering if any damage to my laptop can arise if it remains at said temperature for a couple of hours while gaming. Since this is still a new laptop, I'd like it to last as long as possible.
