Hi, I have a bit of a problem and I was wonderin if someone could help out.
I've got as acer aspire 5715z, win7 os, now recently I've been experiencing a problem where my desktop freezes when I watch a video online or for example access my fb acc. Now here's the odd thing about it even when it freezes I can still hear the audio of the video going on in the background and I can even move th mouse cursor but the image is still frozen and I cant see what I'm clicking.
Any kind of help would be appreciated.

If so, it should have been cleaned about 5 times and now it is time to do the deep cleaning along with heat sink compound replacement.
Has the maintenance been done yet?
It could be a software issue but there are not clues to that yet.

I've cleaned the heat sink several times, no problem there. So far there hasnt been any freezes today I've cleaned some data from the flash player on the global settings and just to be sure I haven't played any videos in full screen.
That's a clue. Did you?

Did you turn off Flash's Hardware Acceleration?
It does crash on a lot of machines.

however it crashed again several times, but it has reduced in frequency of crashes, I am now suspecting overheating of the integrated graphics card. I'll just take to a tech an let them figure it out I'm done

At this age of this laptop, it is likely in need of the deep cleaning and be sure to remove the heat sinks to wipe off the old compound, apply fresh compound and clean as you button it up.
It's possible the OS is corrupt in some way but given the age my thought is that it needs the usual work,.
