Samsung HDTV doesn't recognise Apple Time Capsule on USB

Hi, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this for me.

I have a Samsung TV with usb capability. After having some serious lagging issues running through my macbook to the tv, we'd tried hooking directly from the TC to the TV via usb. The TV doesn't recognise that there's a usb even plugged in to it, let alone open it.

I bought a mac mini (about which I've posted separately) but the streaming is less than stellar. Can someone please tell me how to make this work? I'd be eternally grateful!

If you check the Samsung forum, USB hard drives are hit and miss. If it doesn't work and you've tried Samsung support, the best move is to get another drive.
