Would you recommend a qualified repairman for a Gateway NV52

I am having the same problems with my Gateway NV52, as the other people in this forum. My computer is 2 1/2 years old, and out of warranty, and it will not power on at all now. To begin with it would power off by its self, and then it would go to sleep and not wake up, but I managed to wake it up twice. Changed my power settings for sleep and hibernate to never, the last time I was able to wake it up..............unfortunately about 4 days later I forgot that I had to pick up the computer, when the lid was in my way, and I moved the lid instead.......of course this caused the computer to power off. I had it in for diagnostics, before I was able to wake it up the first time, and the repairman diagnosed the problem as the power swith cable, He suggested I have an authorized Gateway repair facility do the repairs. After the second wake up, the keyboard stopped functioning. No matter what I try now, this computer will not power up. My experience with Gateway support is nothing short of disgusting. The person I spoke with, was rather defensive, and hung up on me! This leads me to believe, they also know it's a design flaw of the manufacturer. I have reservations, as to receiving a permanent fix for this power problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
