Seagate GoFlex Paragon NTFS Activation broken?! CNET Choice?

by jeffcovert - 9/25/11 12:28 PM

Seagate 500GB GoFlex 500GB ext. drive. Package shows CNET Editor's Choice award May 2010. Versatile- move files between Mac and PC.

iMac 2Ghz Intel Core2duo, MacOS X 10.6.8 Install went well. "Don't use for Time machine." Reboot NTFS activation stopped with "No internet connection" Not true. I repeated the process with same result.

The ext drive mounts, but I am unable to create a folder. I am guessing that the Paragon driver allows the Mac to use the drive.

My intention is to use this drive for on my iMac for iTunes, iPhoto, and iMovie. Then move the drive to a Win 7 PC and backup using a blu-ray burner.

The Cnet Editor's Choice logo means a lot to me. How would you use an ext drive for these Mac apps and backup via a $100 blu-ray burner on a Win 7 PC? How can the NTFS activation move forward? All help is appreciated. Thanks
