HP Pavilion dv6

I have a Pavilion dv6 that I bought last May, (2010), and it recently popped up a message telling me the battery needed to be replaced.
I tried to do my best to preserve the battery but maybe, there was some issue with it. But I wanted to report that with an email to HP Support, and a followup showing them a graphic of the HP Battery test, they are sending me a new battery for FREE. The warranty is going to expire in about six weeks so I was really lucky. I didn't buy the extended warranty. But HP support was extremely helpful.
