Ichecked out the link and installed MS UAA first, then the audio driver . . . still no sound.
Argh!! What did I do wrong?
Could be settings or other.

Your posts are far too light to write what it is. For example what speaker did you select?

1. Have the new (version of) the driver ready on a CD or somewhere on your hard disk.
2. Delete the device from Device Manager
3. Reboot and point the New Hardware wizard to the driver mentioned in #1. If it doesn't pop up automatically, run it from Control Panel yourself.
