Half-Black Screen on Toshiba T2130cs Laptop

The top half of my screen is black, although the whole programme is on the screen....I just can't see it. I have managed to get the Control Panel, and then Display, but all the print is on the top half of the screen, so that didn't help....I can't get System Restore, I can't get the properties of the PC, because I can't read anything on the top half. Can anybody help me with this problem please? I've had 2 suggestions: one that it might be because the battery is half flat, but I don't think so!! Two is that it might be the board that supplies light to the screen.

This looks to be a hardware failure since at no time the screen seems to work proper. This means it's not a windows driver.

Figure about 1/2 the cost of the laptop at the repair counter if you let it slip out of warranty.

how to repair half screen Toshiba T2130cs Laptop

open laptop monitor
unscreew 2 screws on front ( below ) , their hidden under a plastic just where the monitor is connect to laptop
from bottom remove the plastic case of monitor
unscrew the lcd ( 4 screws )

on the back of the lcd there's 2 connectors, one for each part of lcd ( top/bellow) , press the connectors firmly

that's it.. probably your laptop just dropped and the connector disconnected.

if lcd bellow is working that solution is this one, have fun
