Dell D430 DVD player won't play DVD's

I need some help, the DVD player in my laptop will play RW disks and software installation disks but it will not play regular DVD's. I've downloaded a different software trying to play the DVD's but that didn't help either.

Did you try VLC PLAYER? If that didn't work, swap the dvd drive.
